Forza Horizon 6 features an incredible lineup of cars, but few carry the legendary status of the 1991 Mazda #55 Mazda 787B. If you are looking to add this high-screaming rotary icon to your garage, you will need to put in some serious legwork.

Unlike previous games, you cannot simply buy this car from the Auto Show. It is locked strictly behind an endgame Barn Find, and it cannot be listed or bought on the Auction House. If you want it, you have to find it yourself.

How to Unlock the Rumor

Before you can go hunting for the physical barn, you need to trigger the rumor to make the search zone appear on your map. This requires making significant progress through the "Discover Japan" campaign journal.

The Requirement: You need to hit Level 7 to achieve Master Explorer status. You can grind this out by knocking out story missions, wrapping up road races, and finishing regional challenges.

The Trigger: Once you earn your final Gold Stamp in the journal, you will unlock the final tier of barn finds. This will instantly reveal a purple search zone for the Mazda 787B on your map.

Barn Location

With the rumor unlocked, make your way to the northern section of the map. The barn is tucked away in the scenic Takashiro region, situated just near the Sunny Circuit.

To find the exact spot without driving around in circles:

Head over to the north-eastern corner of the Takashiro area. Look for the wide, curvy main road running right along the edge of a dense forest.

Keep an eye out for a hidden dirt track on the north-western edge of your purple search zone.

Follow this dirt track down past the local hiking trails and open farmland, heading straight into the trees.

The barn itself is tucked deep inside the forest, hidden right behind a small cluster of rural buildings.

Rewards & Restoration

When you drive up to the location, a cinematic cutscene will trigger, revealing a battered 787B that has seen better days. It needs a lot of love, but the car is officially added to your collection.

From there, the restoration process begins:

The Wait: The car goes back to your garage to be rebuilt. You can choose to pay a hefty fee in credits to fast-track the process, or you can just go run a handful of races while the crew fixes it up for free.

The Payoff: Once it is fully restored, you get to unleash one of the most famous Le Mans-winning race cars in motorsport history. Armed with its legendary, high-revving 4-rotor Wankel rotary engine, the 787B is an absolute monster. It instantly becomes a top-tier weapon for S2-class events and long, high-speed tracks like the Goliath circuit.
