With the Switch 2 officially launching on June 5, there’s growing speculation over which big titles will help anchor its debut. While Diablo 4 has not been confirmed as a launch title, Rod Fergusson’s recent comments suggest that talks—or at least technical evaluations—are happening behind the scenes. The timing would be perfect, and Blizzard knows it boost diablo 4.



If Diablo 4 were to hit the Switch 2 within its launch window, it would be one of the few major live-service games to do so. That distinction matters. However, porting a game of this size and complexity isn’t quick. It requires optimization, server compatibility checks, and careful content scaling.
