New brake pads feel worse than my old ones – what went wrong? (8 views)

So I finally got my front brake pads replaced last week on my 2019 BMW 330i because the warning light came on and they were down to maybe 3mm. A friend recommended a general garage that promised they could do it cheap and fast, and honestly I should have known better. The new pads squeal like crazy at low speeds and the brake pedal feels kinda spongy now, nothing like the firm bite I had before. I'm thinking they probably didn't replace the wear sensors or maybe used cheap aftermarket pads that don't suit these calipers. After reading a few threads here, it sounds like I should have looked for a proper Brake Pad Replacement Workshop Dubai that actually knows how to bed in new pads properly and uses the right materials for BMWs. Has anyone else had that annoying squeal after a cheap brake job and did it go away after a few hundred kilometers or did you end up redoing everything? Also wondering if they might have damaged the rotors during the install because I'm feeling a slight vibration now too. Guess I learned my lesson about chasing the lowest price for something as important as brakes.
