Leading smartphone and memory chip manufacturer Samsung Electronics would eliminate up to 30% of its foreign employees at select divisions, three people with firsthand knowledge of the situation told Reuters. Sources claim that Samsung plans to let go of up to 15% of its marketing workforce and 30% of its administrative workers. By the end of 2024, Samsung plans to implement these layoffs, which will affect workers across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
