The 2020 IIHF World Championship, originally scheduled to take place in Zurich and Lausanne, Switzerland, from May 8 to 24 Samuel Ersson 4NF Jersey, has been canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The announcement of the cancellation came just nine days after the NHL announced a suspension of the 2019-20 season due to the pandemic.
